BLACK DOG — MADURO, 6x54 TORO (FULL BODIED)
Rich and inviting, this Maduro opens with notes of coffee and cocoa, deepened by earthy undertones that never overpower the palate. Crafted with Ligero in the filler, a Dominican-grown First Gen., Cuban seed with a Mata-Fina binder, and finished in an 8-Year aged Dominican Maduro wrapper, it’s the perfect marriage of strength and smoothness. Just like the coffee from Road Dog Coffee Company, the Black Dog is an old powerful Urban Legend that bites, so it seemed fitting to label this Maduro with the same branding.
Each one of our cigars are blended using 8 year aged tobacco, which includes Mata Fina as the binder, and Dominican tobacco filler. RDCC cigars are exquisitely crafted and blended to pair well with coffee from Road Dog Coffee Company, with each cigar crafted to match the tasting notes of the coffee.
Road Dog Cigar Company was created to offer a premium line of fine cigars to those enthusiasts in the trucking industry and to anyone that supports trucking. We at RDCC carefully selected, what we feel is some of the best tobacco in a very desirable region of the world, the Dominican Republic. For over 100 years, our partner farm has been cultivating and planting the first generation Cuban seed in Santiago, right in the heart of the Valle del Ciabo. The Valle del Cibao is nestled between two mountain ranges to the north and south, which provide protection to the tobacco crops from Caribbean hurricanes and storms. The Dominican Republic's most fertile and deepest topsoil is located here. This is not only the prime tobacco growing region of the Dominican Republic but, unquestionably, one of the finest tobacco growing regions in the world. According to Cigar Aficionado Magazine - the "Valle del Cibao is to the Dominican Republic what the Vuelta Abajo is to Cuba." Many of the finest cigar manufacturers in the world are located in this region. Road Dog Cigar Company’s partner farm artfully blends & creates some of the finest handmade puros from the Valle del Ciabo in the DR.
